In 2005, Attorney Cardenas received his license to practice law from the Texas State Supreme Court. He received his law degree from the University of Texas—School of Law the same year. Attorney Cardenas has experience defending immigrants and Lawful Permanent Residents in immigration proceedings before Immigration Judges in the cities of Laredo, Pearsall, San Antonio, and Port Isabel, Texas. Attorney Cardenas has also handled appeals of immigration decisions before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). Attorney Cardenas is fully fluent in both English and Spanish. Attorney Cardenas has handled asylum hearings, cancellation of removal hearings, and hearings where he seeks protection for his clients under the Convention Against Torture Act.
Rowena G. Rodriguez is a first-generation American, the daughter of a Mexican immigrant father from Monterrey, Mexico. Ms. Rodriguez was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She went on to attend St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminology. Thereafter, she obtained her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. In November of 2014, Ms. Rodriguez received her license to practice law from the Texas Supreme Court. Ms. Rodriguez is authorized to appear before the Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals by the Executive Office for Immigration Review. To date, Ms. Rodriguez has successfully handled several bond hearings before the San Antonio and Pearsall Immigration Court.
